This will now easily be our biggest adventure yet. Not only will be going higher than we have ever been before but we will have at least 25 participants taking part in, not one, but TWO groups. The two groups will leave Australia 1 day apart and will meet up at 4 locations during the trip, including an unforgetable combined high altitude party at Kopra Ridge in the middle of the trek.
The plan is to fly from Australia to Kathmandu with a change of planes in Bangkok. We will have two nights in Kathmandu with a special tour of some of the amazing highlights of this fascinating city. We will then be transferring by air with a short flight along the Himalayan Range to Pokhara where our trek will begin.
Porters are supplied to carry all your gear and we will be fully supported with expert guides and cooks. All you need is a reasonable degree of fitness, a good camera to do justice to the views and a sense of adventure. The trekking group will be capped at a maximum size of 10-12 people and we already have several spots taken, so anyone planning to join us would be advised to put their name forward as soon as possible. The trip is suitable for both men and women of age 21 and over. The cost for this trip will be $4325.00 including international air fares, taxes, fuel surcharges, hotel accomodation in Kathamandu and Pokhara (6 nights), lodge accomodation (2 nights) , camping 9 nights, transfers, tour of Kathmandu, camping gear, guides and porters, most meals, etc, etc.
In order to book place you need to complete an application form and submit a $400 deposit. Although we have wildly exceeded all our expectations in terms of numbers, it may still be possible to include 1 or 2 extra people, but you would need to move MIGHTY FAST to get a place.
It's the stuff that dreams are made of, so don't just say "I can't come", before you really think it through. After all, life is far too short to just be a spectator - you have to live it. If you have any questions or would like to see a video of my last trek in Nepal, give me a call.
Update Note
As at the start of 2008 we already have 26 participants booked in for this adventure. We are taking not one, but TWO groups of travellers. Group 1 is definitely booked out but we could possibly still fit 1 or 2 people into group 2.
